Any updates on his condition? I am so sad to hear this and Duane will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Maybe we could all put aside the bickering/name calling.......and I'm just as guilty as anyone else...for a while and take a moment and think of Mr. Mausteller.  Thanks.

By far the worst crash I've witnessed in my 25 years of attending sprint car races.  Please keep both drivers and their families in your thoughts and prayers.

Per ESS Facebook:

Jamie Collard has 2 broken vertebrae, broken ribs, bruised esophagus and more tests will need to be done to determine if there is any damage to his aorta.

I was also in the pits, it looked more like an explosion than a crash, thoughts and prayers to all involved, after witnessing that I'll never take any driver or race for granted again, these guys put themselves in harms way for the love of th sport and the fans enjoyment, Has me wondering if its worth it.

I helped a guy in the pits with his car this weekend, something I had never done before in all the years of being a fan. Put things in a whole new perspective for me as I helped him through the night.

I cannot begin to imagine how hard it must be on the loved ones of those who strap into to these monsters.  And my heart breaks every time I hear of someone who has gotten hurt in this sport that we all love.

Good news for Jamie Collard, he's feeling better and has avoided surgery. Hopefully he can go back home in a couple of days. A long recovery road awaits these two drivers, keep a positive thought for them.

Nothing positive sadly, and nothing that needs to be on a forum, all we can do is keep hoping and praying for a positive outcome.
