Danny Smith (OH) has entered the 66th annual Little 500 in the Mike Blake Racing Racing #81. This will be his first start in this event since 1979. Not sure the last time he has raced pavement.
Danny was the co-winner of the race in 1979. His left the race on lap 408 in the Frank Rise entry but filled in for the last 19 laps in relief of Wayne Reutimann. Danny has five starts in the LIttle 500 from 1975 to 1979.

Great to see Danny Smith come back! Seven former champions are returning and drivers like Bryan Clauson, Bobby East, Aaron Pierce, Jerry Coons, Brian Gerster and Jo Jo Helberg among others should be for a great Little 500. One of the best sprint car races every year. It's always great to see some dirt drivers run the race and take on the pavement specialists. Plus Dave Steele is coming back after 5 years.

Wasn't the Little 500 the race he skipped his HS graduation to go run?
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.
