NCRA Sprints Make Inaugural Visit to Longdale This Saturday Night!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – May 12, 2014 - During this past winter, construction owner Jessie Hoskins built himself a track to practice his new race car and offered the same to other local area racers. With no definite plans for racing in and around the Enid, Oklahoma area, Mr. Hoskins was approached by several about building a race track for Saturday night weekly racing. Now race season has begun , a first  class facility complete with Musco lighting, cement front stretch wall, metal grandstand and concrete concourse and with several races under the tracks belt, it is now time for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products to make their first appearance atop the big three-eighths mile clay oval as the series 360ci- injected sprint car tour makes their inaugural visit to Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Oklahoma this coming Saturday night.

The night’s championship feature will pay the standard $2000 to win with all drivers making the feature finale earning $350 to start. Also a couple Woodward area businesses have stepped up with some added race sponsorship.

Pat McVicker Oilfield Services LLC of Woodward, Oklahoma will be the “hard charger” sponsor for this event. The driver who passes the most cars during the night’s championship finale will earn an extra $100. Pat McVicker Oilfield Services LLC is drill string inspection and repair specialists and covers all of Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle, north Texas and Kansas. This race sponsorship will be known as the “Pat McVicker Oilfield Services LLC hard charger.”

Also climbing on board as race sponsor will be A2z Oilfield Services. The Kris Miller and Gary Weaver owned business will be the night’s “hard luck” sponsor and will present $100 to the driver who who’s luck just wasn’t with them on this night. A2z Oilfield Services provide complete septic disposal and fresh water services to the oilfield industry. They also have trash trailer rental, trenching services and hot shot services.

Thus far this 2014 race season, three events have been completed with three different drivers having reached victory lane. In the season opener at 81 Speedway in Park City it was Kevin Swindell of Bartlett, Tennessee taking home the $5000 to win special over a thirty-nine car field. The next stop was atop the Kansas State Fairgrounds half mile oval in Hutchinson, Kansas where Danny Wood of Norman, Oklahoma took home the $2000 first place prize over an eighteen car field. And just this past Saturday night it was Nebraska’s Jack Dover getting the best of a twenty-seven car field to take home the victory.

Touring regulars expected to compete include three-time and defending tour champion CJ Johnson; Jeremy Campbell, Jon Freeman, JD Johnson, Jeff Stasa and rookie contenders Jake Grieder and Raymond Seeman.

Other drivers expected to complete include; Danny Wood, Kris Miller, Jordan Weaver, Danny Jennings, Jake Martens, Zach Blurton and Luke Cranston. Close to thirty drivers are expected for the series first ever appearance at the track and second consecutive new venue thus far this season.

Pit gates this Saturday night will open at 3:00 PM with racing slated for a special 6:00 PM start time. The Longdale Speedway is a brand-new, high-speed, high-banked clay oval that boasts 22-degree straight-aways and 26 degrees of banking in the turns. Located about a half-mile south of town on Highway 58, construction on the new facility began in December. For more track information, check out www.longdalespeedway.net or call 580-886-5375.
