I havent heard much about the new tether systems lately that had a lot of hype earlier in the year. I have only been to one race this year and did not see them on any cars in the pits. Any information would be appreciated to keep up to date.

I think WOO-Knoxville-ASCS are the only ones that require them now. Others are waiting to see. Knoxville let you run without them first 2 weeks and required them last week because of a little short supply

As a fan in the stands, without an axle tether we would have seen an axle IN THE STANDS last Saturday during the 305 heat race wreck in turn #4. Buzz in the pits was how well it kept the axle attached to those 2 cars and prevented a catastophe of epic proportions.
Haven't heard any complaints about the tethers either on twitter from those that are running them.

As an owner of a full time sprint car team and knoxville reqular i can tell from personal experience THE TETHERS DON'T WORK. simply go to my facebook page and look at my son's car laying on its side after our huge wreck last week and see if you can find any part of the "tethered" axle. the raceway should mandate the C&R kingpin to kingpin system. as a side note C&R also makes a rear tether system that EVERYONE should install tomorrow.

The account is Cole Wood Racing. You can even google "cole wood flip at knoxville" The first website that comes up is a news site with 4 or 5 pictures. look for the tether.

It will be easy to find it's the rope with the clamp on the end flapping in the breeze
