NCRA and Nebraska 360 Sprints This Saturday Night!

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – May 6, 2014 - A brand new venue awaits the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sprint car tour as they head north into Nebraska and Butler County Speedway in Risen City this Saturday night. They will be joined by the Nebraska 360 sprint car series.

This will be the first of two events scheduled atop the quarter mile clay oval and the only track that will host the tour in 2014.

After two events, former champion Jeremy Campbell of Wichita, Kansas sits atop the current 2014 point standings and holds a ten point lead over Norman, Oklahoma veteran Danny Wood. Defending tour champion CJ Johnson of Quinter, Kansas sits third in the standings, just 55 points out of the lead while Oklahoman Jake Martens and Kansas driver JD Johnson sit tied for fourth.

The rest of the top ten include; Zach Blurton, Jordan Weaver, Raymond Seeman, Luke Cranston and Kris Miller. Tour regulars Jon Freeman, Jeff Stasa and Jake Greider are also expected. Greider and Seeman are also tied in the rookie of the year standings.  

The Nebraska 360 sprint car series are expected to field the likes of Jack Dover, Jason Martin, Ryan Roberts, Dusty Ballenger, Ryan Bickett, Seth Brahmer, Gage Dorr, Tyler Drueke, and Trevor Grossenbacher. Close the thirty drivers from four states are expected to compete for the $2000 first place prize.

Two events out of the thirteen scheduled have been completed thus far on the NCRA sprint car circuit with Kevin Swindell and Wood finding victory lane.  Forty-two drivers from ten states have competed in at least one event.

Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing scheduled for a 7:00 PM start time. Depending on the direction of your travel, here are you directions to Butler County Speedway:

From Omaha- Hwy 92 West for 56 miles, turn right on Hwy 81 North for 7 miles, turn right on Road 38 for 2 miles and then turn right on Road C south for 1/2 mile.

From Lincoln-34 West till you hit Hwy 15 North until you hit Hwy 92 West, 92 West for 14 miles, turn right on Hwy 81 North for 7 miles, turn right on Road 38 for 2 miles and then turn right on Road C south for 1/2 mile.

From York or I-80- Hwy 81 North for 32 miles thru towns of Stromsburg, Osceola and Shelby, turn right on Road 38 for 2 miles, then turn right on Road C south for 1/2 mile.

From Columbus-Hwy 81 South for 10 miles, turn on Road 38 for 2 miles, turn right on Road C south for 1/2 mile.

Should be another great race up there.  Went to Eagle last week and the 360's were awesome.  Great to see groups joining together to put on bad ass races!
