Did Facebook and Twitter kill the message boards? There are 20 subject posts on the front page here at the time that I am posting this and only two have received comments -- 1 each. And we've been racing for a month. Hate to lose the good discussion.

I've wondered the same thing. My races have been few and far between so far due to work and family obligations. I did enjoy the ASCS race at Lawton Saturday. Seemed like the track was locked down to bottom traffic only for most, but Sean passed a lot of cars in his heat. Joe W was rolling well in the feature until a little bobble in turn 2. Anyone know what Goodman's troubles are? I heard he had changed to a different chassis, but had gone back to the old ? Made for a rough day Sunday getting to work by 6 AM but it was worth it!

You are extremely correct Kenny. Im getting real close to putting a halt to the racing announcements on message boards. I hit a handful of boards every week and Facebook alone gets more play than all the boards that I hit COMBINED! I read somewhere that for one "like' on a Facebook topic, there is a ratio of about 50-1 who are of the same opinion but just dont bother to hit the 'like link' as they keep scrolling other topics too. The "national boards' still get some decent play but the regional boards are going through a slow death.
The largest indication of this change is the "share" feature on Facebook. When more people share your story with their friends on FB than reply to a topic on the boards, that says a lot. (meaning zero interest to socialize on the boards).
Remember MTV's very first video? The same theme could well apply to boards vs social media.
