Been reading this forum for quite sometime and every so often a discussion is started a bout this driver should drive this ride or that ride. The past few weeks a lot were on the band wagon to see David Gravel abord the Roth racing team 83 car.

Yet the kid wins with the team in his second outing and no one tlks about it... !

Go figure...!

Glad to see the video highlites ... Gravel & Pittman put on a hell of A Show Sat. At Eldora!

it is quite clear that he could wheel  the heck out of any car he has been getting into!

we need solid drivers like this to keep this sport going.

Surprised as well that no one else posted on his well doing.  Guess if its not bad trash talk about negativity & scandal or someone's iinappropriate boob job it's not news worthy.

Davids going to do well been a fan of his since he first steped into roses car last yr going to get a few  more wins this yr i am quite confident in that ......

Yeah, well, how many other sprint car team owners ran better then him at Talladega and are beating him in the point standings and lead rookie of the year points? Well huh. . . .?  That's what I thought.

Lets give these drivers, teams and Sponsors  the respect they all deserve by thanking and congratulating them on all they're hard work talents and risks they take on every time they strap into 900HP rockets!!

And back to the topic, awesome drive David Gravel!

I am a bit confused about WOO points etc. Can someone help me out?

last year Gravel filled in for Rosé and became an outlaw and was a contender in points?

This year he ran a majority of the races and then took over TK ride who was running the series.

Is Gravel considered to be an Outlaw? does he then hop onto TK points because of Roth? How does this work?

I know there are drivers points and then team points. But at the end of the year can he win any place in the top ten points?

I'll bet he finishes in the top ten in both. He has only missed three or four WoO shows across the three cars he's driven. He's currently 655 points out of tenth, and I don't expect Kraig Kinser to stay in the top ten for very long. He has had, frankly, a bad year so far. If Gravel keeps up strong runs, he can be in the top ten by the end of the year. As for team points, the Roth 83 has been to every WoO event and is only 230 points out of the lead, in 8th place. I'll be surprised if David doesn't get them into the top five. He doesn't often tear up equipment, and that's the first step to faring well in points.
