Maybe not. California Chrome uses a nasal strip like those ones football players wear. New York State does not allow them for thoroughbred racng, California Chrome's owners say they won't run the horse without them.

The Nasal Strip was Approved by NY State Officials.  A mile and a half is a v e r y l o n g race, watch out for a 'fresh' horse to come in and surprise, but the CA horse looks pretty unbeatable at this point.....
