Recently, the Boys and Girls Club of El Dorado County announced plans to build a brand new facility, much larger and more efficient than their currently location that is located at the Placerville Armory, adjacent to Placerville Speedway.  The project is huge under taking for the area non profit and Placerville Speedway looks forward to joining in their fundraising efforts with three events during year which are expected to yield high attendance.

The first benefit race of the year will take place on June 7th with additional events to follow in the three months thereafter including July 12 and August 16th.  The final benefit race will place on a big weekend at Placerville Speedway that includes the annual Mountain Democrat Kid’s Night on Saturday night followed by the Placerville Police Officers Destruction Derby on Sunday and is one of the most anticipated weekends of the year by area youngster and families.”

“The Boys and Girls Club of El Dorado County serves over 300 kids each and every day at our three locations in Placerville, Pollock Pines and Georgetown,” said McCartney, who looks forward to participating with the promotion of the events during the year and is expected to co announce some of the events. “The Club provides our kids with a safe and fun place to learn and grow,” he added. “A place where they can do their homework, eat a healthy snack and participate in a variety of activities led by a caring and dedicated staff. Great Futures Start Here at the Club! See you at the races!”
