(Oxnard, CA. 2-17-14) On Saturday February 22, Ventura Raceway will hold an open practice session for all automotive competitors planning on competing at its Ventura County Fairgrounds Facility in 2014. Pits will open at 12 Noon. This will be the second practice session before The new season begins for cars on March 8. We will be making some adjustments that will allow drivers to make changes to their cars between practice sessions. This week we will call up like car types to staging rather than having the long line we had last week that precluded your working on your cars between your practice sessions.
The Tentative Format for the event will be:
12 Noon Pits Open and Tech Sessions Begin: All participants will have their vehicles go through tech prior to going onto the track.
12:30-1:30 Practice for cars that have passed tech.
1:30-1:45 Drivers Meeting/Track Prep
2:00-8:00 Tune and Test sessions lined up by like groups called to staging one group at a time, allowing car work between your group sessions
