There are more than 3 clips from ECS... a couple of interviews from there and a few shots in the pits from ECS... but the one on the track at the 2 minute mark is the one I love...because that's Kyle in 2nd on the restart..behind my youngest brother... that was in 2004, first time we went to ECS... Yeley ran one day there, Matt Moro ran one day.. and my little brother actually outran Kyle Larson that day...followed him and put tons of pressure on him for the first 12-15 laps...passed him once and lost it to a yellow flag... passed him for the lead for good with 5 to go and drove away to win... the only time he raced against Kyle and he passed him for the win. I told my brother "one of these days that kid is going to be uber famous and you will be able to look back and say you outran him"
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

Loved the shots from Red Bluff as well. During my three years in Northern California, I was lucky enough to see Kyle, Brad Sweet, Robert Ballou, Sean Becker, Roger Crockett, and other talented young drivers in the Outlaw karts. Now these guys are great sprint car drivers and more. Red Bluff was awesome.
What is (was?) English Creek Speedway? I saw the outlaw karts run at Cylcleland, south of Chico, once - but never heard of ECS.
Also, when did Kyle get back to Red Bluff to run a kart? Looks recent as he is in his Target racing suit.

I got two Katich interviews at :34 and 3:01 and the restart at 2:00
I dont think any of the other shots are from ECS, but, thats just my opinion..
I went To ECS that day, as a way to pass the time away, and ended up shooting photographs in the infield, as no one else was there.
There was a ton of talent there in 2004. Jessica, JoJo and Peter Hellberg. Mason Moore,, Tyler Reddick. Kyle Larson
If anyone wants to look at my album from English Creek Speedway in 2004 is is posted here.

Oh wow RPMX...I bought a few of your 8x11 pics with all the race info printed in the border...what a small world.
You mentioned all the talent there that day...Sheldon haudenscheild was also racing in the Jr Outlaw/briggs and stratton class at least one of those days....Jac autographed my 5 year old sons helmet that day as he was buckled in sitting in the staging lane behind Sheldon.
Thank you for putting the link to your photos from that day...can't wait to look through them.

Also there that week was Mason Moore, who has been pretty stinking successful in sprintcars on the west coast the last few years.

Sorry RPMX...upon further investigation I determined that I bought pics from a different photographer...I guess he was there the first day, didn't show up the last day, and that was the day you were there shooting...lots of pics of my brother and my son in your album, but none of me due to me blowing my motor up the day before... but thanks again for posting the link... nice blast from the past.

My son is in the silver and maroon number 2A... you have one action shot of him and a white/green number 2 and a couple more of him lined up during the driver intro deal on the front stretch.
My brother is in the black and green #87... quite a few good action shots of him and another shot of him recieving his winners plaque from Dan in victory lane.
I hope its OK with you that I put links to your album and several of the individual pics on my FB page...my family was super excited to see those old pics.
If you are on FB send me a friend request... Dustin Arnall

English Creek speedway has been racing weekly in the summer since July of 2004. We are very excited about going into our tenth full season. We invite everyone that comes to the Midwest in August to watch the best sprint car racer’s in the world to come out and see the future stars in our sport. We race Monday and Tuesday night with hot laps at 7 PM. If Terry does not get something going for Tuesday, that would be the perfect opportunity to see the future in our sport first hand.

Greatness that makes the lunacy of NASCAR even more evil. Sending Larson down there is like slopping the hogs with lobster tails.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
