OCALA, Fla. (Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014) – Rain wins again.

For the third straight day, rain has forced the cancellation of racing at Bubba Raceway Park. However, the University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions and the track have worked together to reschedule all of the events.

The show originally scheduled for Thursday will now be made up on Sunday, Feb. 9 with racing to get underway at 4 p.m. Friday’s rained-out event will now take place Monday, Feb. 10 while Saturday’s show will be made up on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Racing will begin Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Sunday’s event will pay $3,000 to win while both Monday and Tuesday will each pay $4,000 to win.

“We appreciate all the cooperation and hard work from the staff at Bubba Raceway Park. They are committed to getting the racing in here with all the fans and race teams that have come down to start the year,” said Kyle Keesy, UNOH All Star Operations Manager.

This means the UNOH All Stars will open 2014 with five straight days of racing as the series heads to Volusia Speedway Park on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 12 and 13. The Volusia events each pay $5,000 to win.

All five races are part of the series’ Eastern Region points schedule.

For those planning to attend the 2014 DIRTcar Nationals Presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Volusia Speedway Park (Feb. 9-22), the UNOH All Star’s official hotel is the Clarion Hotel-Convention Center, 350 E. International Speedway Blvd, DeLand, Fla. 32724. The hotel is within close proximity to dining, shopping, fuel, car washes, etc. and offers easy access to Volusia Speedway Park and Daytona Beach. And my wife says I drive slow!  But a  "travel day " to drive 46 miles.  Oh well.  You have to call it something.

Obviously you didn't see the pics of the pits and track after 3 days of rain. It is a muddy mess. Better to get some sun on it today and Sunday. They are asking for volunters who want to earn free tickets to run in the track with your own 4x4.
