I could be wrong. But my guess is he will be in his own car. With sponsorship coming from some of the folk that has sponsored him thought the last ten years or so. He may or may not race fulltime with the outlaws.

As far as I know he doesnt have a ride yet for 2014. If I was a betting man,

1) He will not be on the WoO tour this year fulltime. Kind of late for that since he hasnt found a ride or at least it hasnt been announced that he does by CDR.

2) Whatever he does Im thinking he races Knoxville weekly and hits the big shows in the Midwest area.

Would be a big help to his son to have someone as good as Craig for some guidance at Knoxville plus Craig would be a threat to win every night. The outlaw deal is expensive and the traveling would have to get old.Not many outlaw teams survive on tow money and prize money.Knoxville point fund plus all the giveaways are one reason to run there weekly. It is all too expensive for a normal working family man but sure is fun most of the time.

CD deserves to have a full time WoO, ASCS or other full time ride. If not winning a Knoxville championship would be good to add to his resume.

Dude, using the word "deserve" is a bit much in this case. I don't think drivers "deserve" rides. Can they earn them? Absolutely they can earn them. Obviously not enough car owners out there feel Dollansky has "earned" a seat in their car, otherwise he'd be lined up already for 2014. Like him and support him all you want but I wouldn't say he "deserves" a ride. Hell, I would like a million bucks because I'm a nice guy but do I "deserve" it? Of course not, but I have all the opportuity in the world to "earn" it. I never understood why so many people say drivers deserve rides. It's a different way of saying they have the right to spend others money, what right is that?

Thanks resprinter for commenting on the "deserve" thingy.  I thought I was the only one who was not a fan of that!

I always felt each driver got what he deserved and his past record did not "deserve" him a ride in any car!

Dont get your panties all bunched up over the word deserve for a driver's ability. In 2013 finished 4th most wins. In 2012 finished 3rd most wins, and second in points with the WoO.  Obviously has the ability, and another team would do fine with him as a their driver.

I believe that only a certain amount of people can drive these cars at this level. He is most certainly one off them! He will land on his feet in some capacity in this game! As far as we know he already did.  It could be the best kept secret in racing!

There are not enough car owner out there hunting for a driver.  I do not care if you earn a ride or deserve a ride the problem is there are very few rides.  Look at all the car owners that have retired over the last few years.  They retire but no new owner takes thier place.  I guess if you want a ride you need to own your own car and do the best you can.

If a person "deserves" to be running full time with (insert the group) they will be doing so.  That is how "deserves" works!

I like Craig and wish him the best, but the facts are that there are more capable drivers than there are top notch rides.

Drivers that are CAPABLE of running up front on the Outlaw tour but weren't even out on the tour the past few years:

Lasoski - hasn't had a big-time ride since Roth after his split with TSR.  Can probably still run up front a majority of the time, but unless someone gives him $1,000,000 to start a team, doubt you'll see him back out there anytime soon

McCarl - no full-time gig since parting ways with Big Game.  Still capable, but is obviously smart enough to know he doesn't have the budget to go out there currently

Shane Stewart (ride-hopped for the better part of the last 4-5 years, but still is a WINNER, be interesting to see how he does in the Larson/Marks Racing car)

Jason Johnson (maybe one of these days, but currently, he can make more $$$ running 360's)

Wayne Johnson (given the right budget and TIME it requires, I have no doubt he could run up front)

Tim Kaeding (going out in 2014, but hasn't been a "full-time" traveler since the NST)

Paul McMahon (wasn't out there for a few seasons until he hooked up with the 51 team full-time last year)

Stevie Smith (doesn't even race "full-time" in PA as most of the owners don't want to race handicap shows anymore)

Daryn Pittman (wasn't out there for 4 full seasons after the Titan Garages Team folded - took 4 years to land a good ride with KKR to be out there)

Cars available:

none

Full-time teams following the Outlaws

KKR 9 - Pittman

KKR4 - Darrah

TSR 11 - S. Kinser

TSR 15 - Schatz

Sides 7s - Sides

Big Game 1 - Swindell

CJB 51 - McMahon

Motter 71m - Saldana

Keneric 29 - Madsen

?? is, who gets displaced in one of those rides in order for Dollansky to get a ride?

KKR drivers?  Nope, Dollansky already drove for them once.

TSR -- will Tony even have a 2nd car after Steve retires??

Sides - he's not gonna fire himself.

Quiring - he just left Quiring (or whatever happened between them).

CJB 51 - McMahon finished 3rd in points their first year out, no way they replace him.

Motter 71m - Joey finished 4th in points with a new team built from scratch in 40 days - no way they replace him.

Keneric 29 - Australia based team with an Australian driver - don't see a change there for a few years unless something major happens

Roth 83 - Kaeding is a good fit and they win races (which is what Dennis Roth cares about).

Dollansky is definitely the most deserving free agent out there right now, but as we've seen in the past, that doesn't always correlate to a ride. Even Pittman, who ended up champion had to spend 4 years in PA racing for far less money. Tough market out there.

Kinda interesting that Pittman couldn't land a WoO ride for four years, and yet now he's the champ...

the woo-zer field keeps diminishing, year after year!  pretty obvious where they are headed..

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

yep, but like I stated, the # of drivers available far outnumber the cars available.

Of the drivers not on the Outlaw tour full-time, with the proper budget and equipment, they are all championship contenders IMO.  Problem is that there isn't enough $$$ out there to give them all that opportunity.

Craig is the odd man out currently.  In a few years, Pittman could be back out of a ride (especially if their performance falls off from this past year).  One of the worst things that have happened for multiple drivers/teams over the years is winning right out of the box (they aren't as hungry as they should be and get complacent and stop winning races and the owners don't want to spend more $$ or try new things because they are winning with what they have already.

I thought I read somewhere  that Tim Kaeding is following the full WoO tour as well as Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen!

It has become insanely expensive to run the full WoO schedule...and...be competitive.  Very few owners have the pockets to run up front with this group.

About the time you come up with an idea to regulate expenses some "shop guru" has already found a way to get around the new regulation!  It's a never ending story and I can only wonder how long this series, as we know it today, will continue?

In the future it wont matter anyhow ! The best will just stay in Pa. to try and beat the best there is ! Doesnt it seem senseless anyway to spend millions to travel around the country beating up on lack luster competition  when u could just set up camp in Pa . I hear thats where the REAL racers are!
