Sorry, late model story but thought some would be interested: The newly founded in 2013 I think, traveling National Dirt Racing League, owner John Kennedy, announced their new point fund in Dirt Late Model (one of two Flat Out's mag's sister mags) $300,000. Top 10 touring drivers 1st $65,000, 2nd, $45,000, 3rd 35,000, 4th 25,000, etc w/10th place $16,000. also $750 car showup if perfect attendance so far, $7500 rookie winner, $5,000 2nd rookie, $3500 3rd place rookie. Top rookie an additional $200 an event. The point fund doesn't count purse payouts at track or each track's benefits like motel, travel money, etc which Kennedy is pusing for to help race counts. They only had 5 races last year w/Moyer Sr the champ. Also Kennedy has 3 cars running full time around the country: Shane Clanton and Tim Fuller cars will be joined by Max Blair??? in 2014 under the Kennedy stable. Go John Kennedy. We need more of him in sprint car racing.
That Cash point fund has to be fafirly close to WoO late model series and Lucas Oil series. Kennedy talked about other major contingency money/awards they are about to announce and said, "this is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg as we work forward for better things in the future'. And in reading this magazine, looks like more and more tracks using either the crate GM 525 all aluminum motor or the crate 602 ci or 604 ci motor, one hell of a savings in motor money as freshening is much much less often and cost of motor is 1/3rd, motors are "almost" bullet proof" .
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.
