Mark ..... I would agree .....Johnson .... except put Wayne in front of Johnson. Were you at Knoxville like 5 weeks ago? W.J. would have lapped the field if he had started a little bit more near the front. Most dominating performance in either class our group could remember over the last 12 - 15 years.

Wayne did put on a clinic a few weeks back. They have to be pretty pumped going into this weekend. Too bad the "Snake" is on the side lines. Hope evetything goes well for Jake and we see him back soon.

So - is Wayne Johnson considered ASCS or Knoxville? Sounds like a combination to me.
The way things have been going lately it sounds like a great race with Gary Wright, Jason Johnson and Wayne Johnson. Of course, Wayne has the edge with more laps on the track. With that said - it will probably be a dark horse.

lol. thats funny.
I really think either Jason Johnson or Wayne Johnson will win it. I've seen Gary Wright be too lucky lately to really think it will continue. Don't get me wrong he's one of -if not THE-best in the field. But a lot of luck goes into it because of the format (those sorry ass time trials--jmo) I'll never understand why they don't run a true sprint bandit format. Run heats - invert finishing order to run 2nd group of heats.......then line it all up with passing points. it's so completely effective I can;t believe this race doesn;t use it. Also I don't see why they don't double....or even triple the purse. Well I don't know bout all that but I do think there should be more money on the bottom half for sure. The 410's pay out ten times more........but it's not ten times a better race than the 360's. aw hell my bad i'm startin to complain. and I'm runnin outta time.
I think if not wayne or jason johnson than it will be a wildcard. someone we aren't expecting to win it. Gianetto suprised me last year...maybe not others.....but it did me.
Shane Stewart has a good chance and I think Dale Blaney does as well. But you never know about the wildcards. There's some knoxville regs capable of it.......and others like Chick Hebing, Tim Norman, and a whole slew of other that if they get a lil luck on their side......have a solid chance.
I know I can't wait........I'm almost to the point of countin down the hours. This is definitely my favorite weekend of the entire year.
