Lucas won't have to do a thing to get rid of the so called "outlaws". If they continue to deball the deal with more weight, more rules and more ordinary, the 360 stuff will continue to gain. You might as well go cheap and limited instead of expensive and limited. At least the late model guys are allowed to run the best engines (just look under the hoods of both the WoO and Lucas champions' cars to see one). The WoO Late Model deal is actually healthier than the sprint stuff. If it weren't for Stewart and Kandy, the WoO sprint deal would be just a memory. The real outlaw sprint stuff has been gone for over 10 years anyways. The late model rule book is allowing for progress, improved performance, the best equipment and thus the best show.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

You really have no idea what you're talking about do you! You think $50,000 360s to run for less than half the outlaw purse is a positive thing? Carbon fiber injection, 9000 rpms, CNCd heads, etc, etc. You think that's what a cost control spec motor class should be? ASCS did have a good thing going 5 years ago. Then Tommy Estes left for whatever reasons. Since then it's been purse cuts, no engine rule enforcement, a Ford head allowed that was considerably better then the Chev head that every 360 racer in the country had probably more than 1 set of, then the Chev head allowed to improve to catch back up, then all 360 racers had to spend even more money to get back even, and for what? Less money, that's what! And there's still no viable engine tech going on. Who knows what you're racing against when you show up! We have guys running $35-40k motors at region races for $1500 to win. Yeah that's a step in the right direction. If anyone was really concerned about the 100s of 360 racers in the country they would have held to the rules and tech that helped build it. Unfortunately that isn't happening. You can ask every 360 racer in the country and I'm guessing 80%, no I'll say 90% of them will tell you 360 racing is not better now than it was 5 years ago. Watch the press releases. How many have been about guys going 360 racing versus 410 racing? Heck even your main Ford guy Jason wants to go outlaw racing. But he isn't able to out spend most of those guys yet, so he'll stay where he can. That's not a knock against him. More power to anyone who has or can come up with lots of money to spend. But sadly that's what's 360s have turned into.

You make a lot of good points about engine spec's and enforcement. I don't believe WOO, All Stars, Late Models or any other orgainzation has the man power or technical facilities to check engines.
I think a better solution would be to put more emphasis on the driver. Take away 10%-15% of the rear wheel width and height. Cut the top wing and side boards by 10%-15% too. Both of these are easy, visual checks and will make the cars run much looser and make the driver more important.
