I am interested to know if there is any weekly sprint car racing series in the Atlanta, GA area? if not, what is the popular dirt short track racing in the area?

USCS winged 360's run occationally in GA. You can check out the site at http://www.uscsracing.com/ You will find majority of the following is late models down there. Dixie and Rome are two close tracks to Atlanta.

According to http://www.dirttrackfan.com/?section=find-local-dirt-tracks-and-races there are 7 dirt tracks within 100 miles of Atlanta, GA. I am not sure what type of vehicles they normally run. No info on next year's schedules just yet.

Nothing weekly - USCS usually runs at Dixie every July, and Senoia in August (south of Atlanta). We've also run at Lavonia, and Toccoa (northeast of Atlanta about 70 miles). Unfortunately, there's only a couple of active sprint cars left in GA. The 600cc mini sprints have a few more active cars, but no weekly home.

This transplanted northern sprint car fan got to see the USCS sprint cars in GA at Toccoa in 2012 and Lavonia in 2013. The tentative schedule for 2014 shows USCS at Boyd's in Ringgold on July 11 and at Dixie on July 12, Senoia on August 15 and 16 and Toccoa on September 31. The shows with URC at Carolina in Gastonia, NC on April 11 and October 3, 4 are good choices and there should be another with URC on April 12 TBA. I'm also hope to see the shows at Seymour, TN and Maryville , TN on May 2 and 3. Could be a real good sprint car year Southern style.
