The 2014 WoO season is shaping up to be a good one.  We have TK & Roth Motorsports back on the road full time.  We also have the new S. Stewart/K. Larson racing team on tour.  We still have the 2nd Big Game seat to fill.  They could be a few more new faces as well.

If TK continues to run like he did this year, he will be a contender for the WoO Championship and 10+ wins.

Definitely makes sense. May as well get the tow money and point money that comes with following the whole tour as opposed to getting nothing for following 75-80% of the races.

TK is a top 5 driver in my opinion, excellent addition to the tour.

As Mr. Wolf said in Pulp Fiction, "Let's dont start sucking each other d***s just yet!"

My understanding with Shane and the Larson/Marks race team is they will compete in 40-50 WoO races...NOT the full tour!

Also, I think Tod Quering said that the 2nd Big Game ride would only compete on a limited schedule as well.

I thought I read (and I have followed it pretty closely), that the Larson Marks Racing was going to use 2014 as sort of a test, just running select races to try to hit upon a good chassis/engine combo -  and looking at 2105 full-time with the Outlaws with Shane.

Though I am a fan of TK, I hated to see the way things went down with his Australian deal.  Business is business - I understand that, but when I read that the Ausie team had purchased plane tickets, had unfimorms made, had the car wrapped/painted, merchandise made (read shirts, etc, I'm guessing) and was only three weeks or so from hitting the track with TK, I had to feel bad for them.

I agree.  I don't see why Tim could not have gone down there and competed thru January.  The "team" could have taken care of all necessary things to be ready in February for the start of the WoO season.  Not too cool on his part I'm afraid!

Maybe Krikke wanted a all or none deal.  They are running for a championship down under and changing drivers may not be what is in their best interest...just a guess.

Yeah, I thought the same thing.  I like TK alot, and I'll probably get bashed for what I said, but after I read the Krikke article from a previous post today, I couldn't help but feel bad for them.  Business is business though in the end, and I wish the Roth/TK team success in 2014.

This is a real tough deal all the way round. KMS want to run for the champoinship and so does Roth. Season overlap by a couple of weekends so he can't do both. It's a shame they can't run the WA WSS rounds earlier in the Dec or Nov like they used to. Would allow more US drivers to compete for the full season.

It sucks, but I don't think TK did anything wrong here. He needs to look after himself with the series that pays him his larger paycheck. If anyone is to blame it's maybe Roth for not putting this on the table earlier........but with that being said, he doesn't have to do that either. Just a crap situation for all parties.

It's a hell of a ride though! Be good to see Dolansky or someone like that jump in that car and kick some butt!

I wish TK and the guys the best and would love nothing more than to have the WoO title brought back to California by somebody besides Jason Meyers. There would be no asterisk on that championship if we have the good fortune to have it take place. As challenging as winning the WoO championship obviously is just getting this car owner to stick to the plan is also a challenge. That in itself will be a victory. I know TK hated to disappoint the KMS team. I've known him long enough to know that this is not something that he did without a lot of agonizing consideration.

We will see how long TK last on the road. In years past, if this team was not in the top 5 in points by mid May, they went back to Cali!!

If I am not mistake, this has happened more than once, with more than one driver to this team.

It seems as if Mr. Roth dosn't see it being worth while to travel if you can't stay in the top five in  points. Tow money, or no tow money!!

Asterisk?  Did someone find out Jason wasn't really driving the car?  Or r u gonna come up with because team owners or owner were crooked Bastards that Jason isn't a top notch driver and didn't actually score mor points than anybody else that year?

Money is not an issue for Dennis Roth so he does whatever the hell he wants and if you had that kind of money you probably would to. Dennis is an extremely competitive person so he expects a lot out of his operation and there is nothing wrong with that but I'm sure most on the outside can see where it would be frustrating. I have it from a good source that the year Lasoski won the Nationals Dennis tried to pull the plug on multiple locations. Just the same I hope that they go out and kick ass consistently so that Dennis never has an opportunity to consider leaving the trail early :-).

Have hot shit leave his wife and kids to get back out on the road full time with the WoO finishing the season with a championship driving for a team that is never proven to have a crook funding it and we can revisit this topic :-).

I kinda laugh every time someone talks about tow money making the diffebetween staying on the road or not. 40k iin tow money is like buying one motor and how many motors do these guys go through. I think tow money has very little to do with most of the choices made to stay on the road.

What part of any of the statements made about TK do you disagree with? In 50 WoO starts, he did win 9 races, 25 top 5's and 33 top 10's, plus he won a bunch of non WoO races. Is he not one of the top drivers? Also, Keitel was "The Wolf".

My guess is he's meaning not to get too worked up that these guys will run the whole tour until it happens, I don't know that he was doubting TK's ability as a driver but more so Roth's knee jerk reactions and in a blink he could tow the car back to Cali if he doesn't think the results are what they should be. I'm not saying I care, Dennis owns the car and can do what he wants.

Mr. Roth owns the car and he wants results, always has. I'm sure Tim knows what's expected. This is a great team and I wish them luck.  I don't think anyone in Cali would mind if they came back early.

Help me find the asterisk..
