Wreck, wreck, wreck, wreck, wreck, wreck.  But it did have it's good moments too.  Good Joey,  Donny , Steve interviews and scenes.   Maybe next week more good moments and fewer wreck, wreck, wreck, wreck, wreck.  Funny, no fuel stops.  There has to be at least one somewhere.

I wish they'd spent time on the format of the shows and showing how these drivers have to ADAPT as opposed to how NASCAR does things.

NASCAR has two or three 1-1/2 hour practice sessions for a 3-1/2 hour race.  Spint cars get 5 laps of practice and it's straght into qualifying and racing - you're either prepared or not prepared which is what makes drivers consistencies that much more astounding

NASCAR has pit crews and they win or lose the race for the team (the driver can be faster, but if his crew is 2 seconds faster than everyone else's, he probably doesn't have to pass a car under green flag conditions all day, he just has to do it in the pits).  WoO - the crew sets the car up, but the driver has to adapt if it's not right or to his liking.

The tracks - show the same track with video showing the track heavy (use a rainy day like when Joey drove ABOVE the cushion to win @ Eldora) vs, dry slick (there should be footage of Joey winning on the same track).  Have the drivers explain how the track changes from lap 1 to lap 30 or 35 and how they have to contantly be searching for the line to race on.  NASCAR primarily is a one groove track and those cars that can't hold the fast groove are the ones not in it.

Show the difference in facilities and lighting (show how the drivers have to be even more on their game) as they could have shadows on teh track, poorly lit track conditionsl or another track that looks like your racing in the sun.

SHow the EVENTS (have footage of just outside the racetrack from Williams Grove, Knoxville Nationals, King's Royal).  Show people what they are MISSING by not attending these events.  There is much more to it than just the on-track product.

Yup, that show made it look like fans only go to WoO races to see crashes. About 6 -7 of their top 10 reasons to watch sprint cars is because of the wrecks, fires and chance of injury. Pretty stupid considering Lefturn lost his life at a WoO race earlier this year. I didn't expect anything better considering the group that runs the WRG these days.

Not to start a big deal. But Lefturn was killed in an All Star race in Bridgeport New Jersey.

Not to start a big deal, But Lefturn was killed at an unsanctioned race in Bridgeport, NJ.  Not a WoO or All Star race.

Still shows why I don't like using crashes in most of the segments about what is good about sprint car racing. Do you think Brad Doty thinks one of the top 10 best things about sprint car racing is the "Wild rides"?
