29 races cars... but a lot of attrition early; only 23 cars made it into the heats.
FT: Matt Mitchell in Ford's #73 @ :15.303, followed by Forsberg, Niemeal, Hirst & Jeff Swindell.
Araki, Netto, Bernal and Howell all going into the turn 3/4 wall in qualifying; Araki & Bernal were stretchered out into ambulances.
Heat One: Bud Kaeding, Mitchell, J. Swindell, Shaw, J. Vander Weerd, Ennis
Heat Two: Forsberg, R. Vander Weerd, Adams, Hall, Hurst, Barnes
Heat Three: Roa, Hirst, Ensign, Sweeny, Lindsey, Denome
Heat Four: Carlile, Liggett, Faria, Niemela, Strole
20-lap Qualifier: Faria, Ensign, Liggett, R. Vander Weerd, Bud Kaeding, Adams, Hirst, and Mitchell from the back after a bump-up with Roa, who finshed, but slowly. Niemela appeared to stuff Forsberg into the turn 3/4 wall and was himself boarded up and hauled off in a third ambulance. Forsberg's car lost the entire front end off the chassis.
40-lap Feature (starting in reverse order from the 20-lapper): Rich Vander Weerd (from 18th), Kyle Hirst (from 15th), Landon Hurst (from 7th), Bud Kaeding (from16th), James Sweeny, Danny Faria (restarting after an early flip), Jesse Denome. NO less than five red flags during this race with only 11 of the 21 starters finishing.
NW Trophy Cup Winner (on points): Rich Vander Weerd 324.5, Kyle Hirst 315, Bud Kaeding 307, Danny Faria 301.5, Max Adams, 283.5.
Fair crowd at $35.00 general admission.

Mitchell came from 14th to lead by lap seven, but got sideways and then hit by Roa on lap ten.

I think 14 of 28 cars racing got upside down.

Brett's right. I think (and after that many wrecks...) it was Geoff Strole that got mixed up with Matt; the fourth car in the two deals on lap 10 was Rusty Carlile's.

Hate to say it like this. But they tore some equipment up, and drivers got hurt last night. I know the equipment can be fixed and It is costly. But my thoughts are with the drivers and I hope they are fine. Let's hope everything goes better tonight. Congratulations go out to Richard vanderweerd.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

I think you better recheck your info. I don't remember hearing Jeff Swindell's name mentioned at all last night. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

It was Kevin Swindell in Clyde Lamar's #3c. He will return tonight with the wing on. Andy Forsberg will also return with a wing in the #x1. Mitchell was supposed to return with barn door...we'll have to see. Danny Faria will for sure, despite losing a good non-wing car last night.
From the reports I've read on Facebook and Twitter this morning, all four (4) drivers (of the 17 that got upside down) were checked out okay and released from the hospital. Brian Araki posted that Kolby is fine. Biggie posted and Markus Niemela posted that he is sore but okay. Ryan Bernal posted that he is fine, but has a black eye and really sore. Andy Forsberg had X-rays to search for broken ribs but they came back negative. Great news after such a scary, wicked night!
