My favorite week of racing starts with the Labor Day weekend at Calistoga for two days of non-wing sprint cars and midgets at the Louie Vermielle Classic, followed by 4 nights at Chico watching the Cali boys school the WoO's at the Gold Cup Race of Champions and ending Sunday at Antioch for more WoO action. August 30th - September 7th. If your goal is to party this is a great week for that. Calistoga and the Napa Valley is a slice of heaven and Chico's Silver Dollar Speedway is one big party for four nights.
The best show of the year is always the Trophy Cup in late October at Tulare's Thunderbowl. Three nights of sprint cars and the best race format of the year at one of the nations most exciting race tracks. If you get a chance to to go to the Trophy Cup don't pass it up!
You'll probably find Jimmy spectating both these events!
