Jennings started on the pole and led all twenty laps, virtually unchallenged….White made it up to third before something came a miss on the front end and settled for fourth…..Owens started eleventh and worked his way to a third place finish.

Larry Fletcher led the first six laps before Gene Bryce drove underneath him to take the lead on lap seven…Bryce had it checked out before a caution with two laps to go. Once green Bryce didn’t take off allowing Larry Fletcher to get by and take the victory…..The infield battle royal and smack down was a tossup between David Tanner and the lapped car of Stephen Torrez with benches clearing from the back pit area…..All people standing to break it up got a shovel full of dirt in their face by a downed official
