If two of the top 10 are registered who are they? You said it, now post the names. I'm pretty sure you are just speculating and don't want to post the names and be WRONG. I'm not saying you are wrong, just post.

I30 is my home track. When the list comes out on the 15th i will look for your post about me being right. Its all good!

We'll see, I'm not at all saying you are wrong. All I'm saying is post the names if you are so sure. It would be hard to believe the WOO would allow there drivers to go run a series that is in competition against them. I know WOO are 410's and ASCS are 360's but are still competing against each other for the all mighty dollar. I may very well be wrong.

I guess I should expect it out of this board... but I don't understand the big fuss about a Platinum Member having restrictions on their schedule.

Bascially it's like employees being told where they can work.  They are PAID to be Plat Mems, it isn't simply a piece of paper.  If you're mad about them not having an unlimited schedule... then get mad every night they get paid extra $ for their status.  Equal is fair, after all.

No, the teams aren't employees, more like contractors.  They're being paid appearance & points money that has expectations... one of them is your schedule.  Don't like it?  Missing out on a race or 2 & can't deal with it?  Don't sign the dotted line & accept a really good financial package.

No, I don't like restriction of where a racer runs, never did & never will.  My car, my choice.  I do, however, understand why such a rule exists.  I had the absolute pleasure of attending a race that such a rule was written about in '87 at the Cotton Bowl in Byhalia, MS... the night before the WoO inaugurated Memphis Motorsports Park.  The WoO was up in arms about a promoter siphoning teams for his unsanctioned race.  Threats, boycotts, etc.  Well... we got to see several WoO teams & a good night of racing at a cool little track.  Fans won... WoO loses, many teams lose an opportunty for $.  MMP promoter pays all the sanctioning fees, appearance $, etc. & the Byhalia promoter avoids much of those costs & gets close to the same car turnout of traveling teams.  This isn't fair to the promoter taking the risk to book the WoO.

You'd think people would be happy watching 100 or so sprint cars at a cool 1/4 mile track... but no, let's complain about a handful of cars not there.  What are there... 10-12 platinum members?  Probably 8 of there have zero interest in running at I-30... so we're talking about 3-4 cars not being able to attend?  Out of a field of 100?  Yeah... let's start a riot!!!!!!!

Thanks to JG for posting facts & updates on those facts in a thread with a lot of non-facts, like usual on an internet message board of any type.  Everyone can breathe easier tonight.. a couple of WoO teams may show up.

Now... if only they were able to show up at the Bowl next weekend with the ASCS when I'm there... I, too, could sleep at night.

Smile

I never said anyone was wrong or I was righ. If you are right that's fine. Bad move on the WOO if they did give permission. Why feed your competition???? I like both series and do attend races for both series.
