In the tidbits it said the last Oklahoman to win a major 360 nationals race was DJ in 96'.
Didn't Wayne Johnson win the Knoxville 360 Nationals back in 2000? I think he was even still residing here then............and I believe won it in the F & J construction car............

wayne did win the 360 nationals at knoxville in 2000 and he also won his frist ascs national title which was the first year he ran all the races, and another okie zach chappel won the 2001 ascs national title, which had larry the villin neighbor in 2nd that year also. so there are plenty of okies up for the task of competting on any level around not only the nation but the world.

What I meant was during the Hutchinson Nationals there has not been a winner in a majority division there since DJ done it in 1996. I still view the Hutch Nationals as a major accomplishment in this region as alot of race veterans in this area know the history of Hutch and respect it. In NO WAY do I mean to take away the importance of the Knoxville 360 Nationals as that is a different animal all in itself.
I just think that if I was a driver, I would be honored to have my name itched in history with the likes of Hahn, Leep, Lies, Stone, Ewell, Swindell, etc.

my bad man i didn't know you were talkin about Hutch exclusively. All one has to do to see the prestige of that event is look at the racing from the past website. I don't think the race is near as big as it used to be.........but at the same time it's a long going tradition. If you look around there isn't a whole lot of those left either.
