Take away their horsepower and $$$ advantage and they are on a level playing field. Cali sure showed them that this weekend. Love seeing locals win no matter where they are from. Now get all those drivers that drove their asses off to show up at local shows in Cali and keep our sport thriving.

I thought I was at a Golden State KWS race the second night of Chico and Antioch. Several outlaws missing the A. Schatz using a provisional at the GoldCup, The heat transfers almost all Cali drivers, and most of the top spots in the A belonged to California.

California won the war this season winning 6. Outlaws won 5 and only 1 rainout, on Cali soil.

I think Cali fans may be worse than posse fans! Haha. No outlaw missed the field at Antioch, several missed the dAsh invert and the track was a complete joke for the A main.Certainly give all the credit in the world for the gold cup, but Antioch was a function of the outlaw format and rubber down jokiness of a track for the feature.

The WoO were special when they had better more advanced unique stuff.  They have to and apparently want to run exactly what every other "super" sprint car racer on the planet runs so they get beat all the time.  Sammy's beautiful equipment, Karl's engineering, Luna's canted valve Ford, the factory Dodge involvement etc etc are all gone so the old WoO greatness is gone as well.  Has been for about 10 or 15 years...nothing new.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Pretty sure he was referring to some outlaws missing the A at the Gold Cup, both nights.
