NCRA Sport Mods at Siloam Springs Speedway This Saturday Night!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – August 27, 2013 - After a month off from racing action, drivers with the Bob Howard PDC and Mopar National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products southern sport modified tour kick back into racing this coming Saturday night and at a new venue, West Siloam Speedway in West Siloam, Oklahoma.
With seven events that have been held thus far this season, the top of the current point standings see’s an unfamiliar face as Mark Harrison of Kingfisher, Oklahoma currently leads by a slim five points over former tour champion Todd Decker. It is the first season for Harrison to be battling for the championship and despite being shut out of victory lane, has consistent top five in each feature finale to have the point lead.
After a slow start, long-time tour regular Ross McCartney has things in gear and sits 135 points out of the lead while Cleo Adams and rookie contender Kenny Morris sit in a tie for the fourth position.
Sixth through tenth in the standings include; Chad McNamara, Travis Johnson, Brandon Smith, J.D. Choate and Bobby McGehee. Other tour regulars expected to make the tow include rookie contenders Steve Little and David Fisher; Courtney McCartney, Chris Lyons, Kyle Choate and Craig Ridgway.
The tours visit to West Siloam Speedway will be the thirteenth different track that has hosted at least one event in their five year history.
Feature winners thus far on the 2013 tour include: Robert Elliott and Brandon Smith (2), Todd Decker and Cleo Adams. Adams is the only first time winner on the tour this year.
