Triple Header for NCRA Mod-Lites This Weekend!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – August 27, 2013 - It has been a slow thus far this inaugural season for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products mod-lite division as a mere two events have been held. That number will swell to five events as the tour is set for the “1-135 challenge” this coming Labor Day weekend, August 30-September 1st.

It all kicks off this Friday night at the Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas. A late addition to the schedule and the most intriguing as the track hosts the mod-lite division on their regular Friday night racing card.

Then on Saturday night is down 1-135 to 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas where current point leader Justin Kinderknecht notched the first ever event sanctioned with the series.

From there it will be back up the same route and a little further North to the Belleville High Banks Speedway in Belleville, Kansas for the tradition Sunday night Labor Day weekend stop for the series.

As mentioned, Kinderknecht is the current point leader and has won both events that have been held thus far this season with the other coming at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri.

Brandon Gray is only sixty points out of the lead and second in the standings while Tyler Bradshaw currently holds down the third position, just 95 points out. Ryan Secrest is the other driver to have attended both events and sits fourth in the standings.

Each mod-lite event will pay $500 to win and $100 to start the feature finale.

Gates open at 5:00 PM with race time slated for a 7:30 PM start time. It will be a full plate of NCRA racing as the late models will be joined by the series 360-ci sprint, modified and mod-lite divisions.

The Belleville High Banks is located 2.0 miles north of US 36 on US 81, then 0.4 mile southeast on M St. to 7th St., then 0.1 mile east (near the water tower, at the North Central Kansas Fairgrounds).
