Seems like the consensus throughout the country. Especially at Williams Grove where Schatz seems to dominate.

I agree anyone but Schatz. But he will do his yearly drive that he does every year. On qualifying night he will run 2nd or 3rd then on Saturday night no matter where he starts he will drive by everyone like they are running a 6 cylinder. Makes one wonder in this ultra competitive era how that happens. He does have the present day Karl Kinser turnin the wrenches. I am not saying Donny cant drive. He seems to be the best in the business today. Just never understood how for his first 9 yrs he was an also ran and now to dominate like Steve used to. Wish he would have been runnin during the " Big 3"era to see how he fared with those boys in their prime.

If Donny had run in that era he would have won a fair share like Blaney, Jac, Hewitt and the rest but I wouldn't put him in the class of Steve, Wofie & Sammy. I think we must remember that those times might have been more difficult because of the competition of the big 3, constant road travel and turning of thier own wrenches. I think it was more of a grind back in the 70's & 80's. Doesn't Donny fly home most weeks when he's not racing? Who have been the top 3 competitors over the past 10 years?

I have nothing whatsoever against Schatz, don't care if he's not friendly in the pits (don't expect to be his buddy!), but hell yes! Anyone but Schatz...... or at least a thrilling, competitive race....

If I was betting my hard earned $$$, I would have to go with Schatz. But I'm not betting....

Personally, I think Schatz is WAY PAST DUE for a blown tire or motor with two laps to go on Saturday night!
