The Northwest ASCS rulebook compliant teams are not intimidated by the Nat travelers so much, as they are of not knowing from one day to the next which game book is going to be pulled out by the people who run things from Elma-South.

Region numbers in the NW are bolstered by Brian Crocketts and Jerry Schrams game plan of allowing non-ascs headed engines to litter the field.  Emmett looks the other way until his A-team comes to town.  And then we see sorry excuses(intimidated) like you rattled off as the reason for their sorry car counts.

Somewhere around 60 Northwest ASCS legal teams competed in the NW last weekend.  Schram, Crockett, and Emmett mustered barely more than a handful of those - as has been the case all year.

I'm not the one to decide if their game plan is right or wrong.  But the facts say all the excuses coming out of that camp are just that - excuses.  Intimidated?  We could talk all day about that one.

It still baffles me how people can bitch about being harassed at Knoxville as Eckert is whining about at the end of his article.

I've been going to the Nats since 1995 and NOT ONCE have I so much as talked to one of Knoxville's/Marion County's/Iowa's finest.  It's amazing what happens when you go to the races, watch the races, have a quiet beer or two with a group of friends, don't get mouthy, don't harass others, don't make a racket and you DON'T get bugged by the police.

And yes, you can have fun at the Nationals without doing those things mentioned above especially if you are going for THE RACING!

Is this heaven?
No, it's Iowa....Knoxville, Iowa.

That's great that people have not been bothered by police since 1995. I've been going since '84 and sing a different tune as is obvious. I speak from personal experience and from those close to me. Knoxville and the jackals who patrol between Oskaloosa are out to arrestas many race fans as possible. They won't get in my pocket anymore.

As for the hyperlink, I simply cut & pasted from Facebook (still in Google Chrome) and it magially appeared.
