No. 19 on list of 25 best Central PA Sprint Car drivers in last 30 years

true class what a guy

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

This list is based on the past 30 years beginning in 1983. The writer, Jeremy Elliott, had PA great Lynn Paxton #20 and Davis #19. Both only ran Central PA in the last 30 years in 1983 ... Paxton retired after that season and Davis left the Weikert #29 to go Outlaw racing. I agree with having Davis ahead of Paxton. Paxton won the National Open and the Port Royal track championship. Davis won the Grove championship, beat the Outlaws a couple of times, and won at least twice as many races. Also, Davis would have won Port's track title if he was there every Saturday night because if I remember correctly he won there about 8 times. Like most Weikert drivers did, Davis chased the Outlaws, All-Stars, went to Knoxville, etc.

Now if these rankings were based on the entire career and Central PA alone, Paxton should be much, much higher than #20. Should be in PA's top ten, maybe top five!!
