Can anyone give me some details about the twin features this weekend at Knoxville? How are the heats lined up? How is the second feature lined up? Support classes? Thinking about making the trip, but could use some more details.

Thanks

Jon

same time trials and heats to get into first feature, second feature they line up in reverse of finish in first feature, except lapped cars must start in rear. They will get alternates from B main if a car wrecks or breaks down. They usually have a good turn out of cars for twin features.

Time Trials (probably groups of 3 cars like they've done the last couple of weeks)

Heats (3 or 4 depending on car count) - invert of 6 if like last week top 6 or 5 (depending on 3 or 4 heats)

B -main (top 6 or 4 - depending on # of heats)

A-main #1 (20 laps) - lined up straight up by time trials (quick time on the pole) of the cars that qualify through their heat, B-main transfers tag the tail

A-main #2 (20 laps) - full invert of lead lap cars from the first feature. My guess is around 16 or so.

360's are the support class this week.

Anybody remember when the only cars in the 1st feature were cars that transferred out of their heat?? That was when they inverted 6 and transferred 4 also... so the heats actually meant something. If you won the B, you were the first alternate in the 2nd feature... 2nd in the B was 2nd alternate, etc. It was a real game changer in the points if you couldn't make it through your heat. I kinda liked it...

I did and didn't., purse was 1/2 of a regular feature and the features were 16 laps with 16 cars, made the race kinda boring if they had any yellows (no traffic).

I like the 24 car feature becuase it really puts traffic into play (especially in the 2nd feature when guys not used to running up front catch traffic).

Good points... 16 laps and a 1/2 a purse wasn't so cool. I like it a lot better now that's it's 20 laps and a full purse for both features. I don't like that the heats mean less & less... that's about it.

How many cars do you think are going to be there?

Cole Wood and Jason Johnson will be with ASCS in Hartford, SD... but we add Brown, Balog, and Larson. I would think maybe a couple more would show up to give us at least 32. That's what I'm hoping for.

That's uncalled for, why wouldn't you want a guy that make every race he's in more exciting entered?

I think it's hilarious, and I would say nothing was meant towards Kyle, only the people that can't control themselves.
