Huge Three Race Holiday Await NCRA Late Model Tour!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – June 30, 2013 - It will be a huge three day race Independence holiday weekend for the gladiators of the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing late model series as they visit three different tracks in consecutive days, the first two of those with the MARS DIRTcar series.
It all kicks off on Wednesday night, July 3rd, at the home track of the MARS DIRTcar series – Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri. The event will also feature B-Mods, Factory Stocks, Pro-4 and Pure Stocks. Pit passes for this event will be $35.00. Grandstand admission will be $20.00 for adults, kids 12-15 $5.00 and 11 and under are free. Grandstands will open at 5:00pm and Pit Gates for this event will open at 3:00pm. Hot laps at 7:30pm and racing scheduled to start at 8:00pm. $3000 will go to the night's championship feature winner.
Then on Independence Day it is over to the home track of the NCRA and 81 Speedway in Park City. Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, Hornets and Youth Hornets will be the support divisions. Pit passes are $30 while grandstand admission will be $15 for adults and $5 for kids. Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing slated for a 7:00 PM start time. The night's championship feature winner will take home $2500.
The three race tour will come to a close on Friday night, July 5th as they head to the Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas and will be joined by the series modified division. Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing set for a 7:00 PM start time. The night's championship feature winner will earn $2500 for his efforts.
This will be races two, three and four on the 2013 race season for the NCRA late model tour with current point leader Ryan Gustin taking the season opener at 81 Speedway in Park City. Two races have been nixed by rain thus far this season, including the original season opener at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska back over the Memorial Day weekend and the most recent, a mid-June event at the Salina High Banks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma. This event was also to be co-sanctioned with the MARS DIRTcar series and has been rescheduled.
Drivers expected to compete in at least to of the three events this weekend include: MARS DIRTcar point leader Tony Jackson, Jr., Gustin, Jesse Stovall, Corey Zeitner, 6-time MARS champion Terry Phillips, Gary Gorby, Chase Junghans, Matt Johnson, Zack Simmons, Patrick Johnson, Chris Kratzer, Brandon McCormick, Jimmy Seagraves, Leroy Johnson, Justin Wells, Ken Essary, Cole Wells, Shane Essary, Justin Asplin, Dustin Walker, Brandon Morton and Jeff Roth. Over forty different drivers from six states are expected to compete in at least one of the three events over the holiday race weekend.
The battle for the NCRA G&G Dozer rookie of the year point standings is a tight one Jacob Magee holding a two point advantage over Jeremy Petty and four points over Chance Bishop.
Since 1971 the NCRA has sanctioned dirt track races across the Great Plains with the series currently sanctioning five other divisions. They include modifieds, southern sport modifieds, late models, 360 sprint cars, 305 sprint cars and new mod lites. The 2013 season for the National Championship Racing Association is the 43rd anniversary season with races scheduled at sixteen different race tracks across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri.
