After seeing the show that came to be at the Sheboygan County fairgrounds in Plymouth Wisconsin last night I can easily say I am refreshed.

The show went well, other than the rain that cancelled the 360 main.

As I texted a fender car friend, the pits were great, the stands were full and the only fenders were on the push trucks and the haulers.

The track dried quickly, as it always does. The racing was fast.

All boiled down to the last 10 laps of the 410 main. Stewart slid across into the lead in traffic in 3-4. Balog, now 2nd seemed to take a few laps to collect himself but with Stewart working traffic made any lost ground back up and put a very similar move back on Stewart for the lead. Well you know what, the race was on. Stewart goes to EVERY race to win and Balog was going to make sure Stewart didn't have a cake walk. I am going to say they exchanged the lead 3-4 times in the closing laps. The really cool part was............for the first time I can remember........the large crowd watching from the pits was cheering with every pass for the lead, no matter the new leader. The race ended with THE one and only Tony Stewart winning in just another race of his illustrious career. I have to believe he was racing for all he was worth considering the circumstance of the late race challenge from Bill Balog. You know there really wasn't anyone in the same league as the 1-2 combo,

most of the rest were scratching for whatever they could find of the Plymouth clay. The race as seen from the pits ended with Stewart and Balog driving off of 4 as hard as they could, it appeared near side by each, with a cheer and a round of applause from everyone in the pits and the stands. AWESOME RACE, AWESOME RACE, AWESOME RACE..............period.

You know there are lots of reasons conjured out there as to why Tony Stewart would race at an IRA race in Plymouth Wisconsin. That is while he has his cup stuff racing in Michigan and the Outlaws (with whom he seems to race as often as he can) are in relatively nearby Knoxville Iowa. Why the hell IRA Plymouth Wisconsin?? I know, it might have been the promoter or a sponsor paying him some obscene amount of money to show. What do you think...Tony Stewart......he has to be all about money anyhow don't you think????? That's funny, that last line was even hard to write. Any, and I mean ANY, "TO THE BONE" racer knows that Tony Stewart defines "TO THE BONE" racer. Rumor has it that it wasn't the promoter of the race Saturday night who approached Tony Stewart. Rumor has it Tony Stewart approached the promoter asking if there was anything he could do to help him out.

How the Hell is that for topic of conversation????

Oh yea, to the folks out there that are definitely, positutily positive that Bill Balog has some form of traction control……………all I can say is…………..PROVE IT or shut the hell up.

I agree with the traction control rumors. I think balog is just getting good with the gas peddal and brake! He is also the smoothest drive of all IRA regulars. But I do get tired of seeing the same two drivers win. thats why I would rather watch the 360's run than IRA
