As many of you know, over the years Project X Marketing of Cambridge, MN, has been attempting to help racers find a way to better support their hobby without breaking their wallet, and has done a solid job of it the vast majority of the time. I have heard many stories, both good and bad, of what current owner Chris Kolstad and his staff have done over the years. What I found in my research was pretty much what I expected, that over the first few years it wasn't too positive and over the last few things have turned much more positive. Project X Marketing has produced over 2,000 pairings of drivers and sponsors but the goal is for every driver through the doors of the company to succeed, or it is a failure, as myself and anyone affiliated believe. Our intent is to find all that have not had a positive experience and turn it into one. This is why I would like to hear from EVERY driver, both that have and have not worked with Project X Marketing over the years. I want to know the good and the bad, as I will be part of the group taking over ownership as of August 1st. If you are in need of sponsors, please visit us at http://www.projectxmarketing.net or on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/247170335426747/

For those needing info on obtaining sponsorships or to share an experience with Project X Marketing, please contact me at [email protected] or via phone at 763 742 6205. Thank you for your time.

In the words of my late Granny, the lady who had 15 kids, I can just hear her singing...

"Same song - second verse

Could get better but will probably get worse!"

RIP Granny.

LOL, yep. Maybe "project X Marketing" could elaborate a bit more and actually give the info about the drivers names and the sponsorship money that they have actually helped out.

Anyone ever call the number and talk to someone, or had any real life contact with these people that verifies they're anything more than just some dude with an internet connection?

To address what has come up here, no Denise nor her partners paid me anything to be involved with the ownership. Instead, they sponsored 75 of my cars this year through their distribution company and its subsidiaries.

"Dr Pepper" if you have ever taken the time to visit the website or look me up on Facebook, there are a very large contingent of my drivers that are willing to speak to people. I have always said and I always will that I will not give out personal contact info but the drivers on my testimonials page of the website are all willing to be contacted via Facebook and if they choose to give out their number or email, they are more than welcome to.

Ryan, on the afore mentioned page I did some counting and figured out I have met approximately 700 of the racers on there in person. Every week I can be found at the Princeton Speedway in Princeton, Minnesota. I also attend the IMCA Supernationals in Boone, Iowa every year. Other tracks I will be at or have been to this year include Jamestown Speedway, Jamestown, ND, Algona Raceway, Algona, IA, Deer Creek Speedway, Spring Valley, MN, Jackson Speedway, Jackson, MN, Huset's Speedway, Brandon, SD, Knoxville Raceway, Knoxville, IA, Ogilvie Raceway, Ogilvie, MN, St Croix Valley Raceway, St Croix Falls, WI, 141 Speedway, Luxemburg, WI, Kankakee Speedway, Kankakee, IL and this week I will be in MN, IA, SD, NE, MO and KS alone meeting with drivers and sponsors. The problem with the internet is that for every one of you that questions if I am "just a guy behind a keyboard" there are 10 "guys behind keyboards" that have never so much as contacted me. My phone number is the same as the one Denise posted above, and I am pretty easy to contact. Its just easier for people to hide behind screen names and badmouth things they know nothing about.

I think the paid ad, as suggested, might assist in establishing legitimacy.

I don't hide behind my computer sceen name. I have contacted you multiple times, by phone and texts. I still have all the text messages saved where you promised all kinds of things. I never bad mouth things i know nothing about. What i DO know is that I have never received anything but lip service and broken promises. Starting all the way back to when I bought my initial package for sponsorship proposals and discounts, etc. etc. Nothing! Then after stringing me along for another year after the initial year of nothing, you then promised a refund. I have the text messages from last June/July timeline. I was at Ft. Dix preparing to deploy, and you promised to send the refund to my home address. Can you guess when my wife ever received that much needed money? right, never. I have contacted you multiple times since getting back in May and still have yet to even get a response. Have you lost my contact info again for the 10th time? I will surely contact "Denise" and see what I get for a response. The last "former employee" that I talked to a couple years ago was helpfull in telling

me to stay clear, but it was too late, as I had already given Chris money long before realizing

that I would never see it again, nevermind a sponsor. Chris, you had better hope to God this is resolved before I ever make it out to the midwest and maybe bump into you. This soldier never forgets and sincerely believes in restitution.

Still no reply, "Denise"?. I have done everything that was asked.

The following is exactly what I never got:

In addition to helping you seek sponsors(74% success rate), Project X Marketing has many different connections established to help you save money as well. All Clients recieve the following, simply for coming on board:

$700 guaranteed sponsorship within one year(1/2 money refunded if not acheived)

10% off through Elite Shock Services of Elk River, MN

5% off through Project X Race Cards of Winnipeg, MB

5% off through 1st Place Apparel of Eau Claire, WI

Discount engine work through A & K Automotive of Anoka, MN

Discounts on websites through Hess Technology of St Paul, MN

Amsoil Products at cost 15 page

"How to get sponsored" booklet

50 pages of free letterhead

5 free sponsorship proposals

100 free business cards

What I did get, is the runaround. I have repeatedly asked for a response. I was promised a refund prior to my deployment last year. Chris never sent it. He has a habit of saying that a person somehow violated some contract, ethical clause. I assure you I never badmouthed Project X once in the first 3 years of trying to remedy the situation. I have since given up on being ethical and morally bound. I was promised a refund, was out of the country serving in Afghanistan, and since returning have been given the same "non response" that Chris is so famous for. That $350 would have gone far for my wife while I was deployed.
