The rumor is Jason Solwold is in the BWW 82 car. I do not get this move. I tried to look up some results for him this year. I saw a couple ASCS races. I know he had a few good runs a few years ago but what else has he done? I know that you can not compare his numbers to Shane Stewart. Frustrating!

You are correct, Mike. Of all these drivers that everyone thinks should be in a certain ride, maybe a lot of them just don't want that specific ride. Because of certain travels, personal conflicts, commitment to another ride, etc. GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

well, after years of success with the woo-zers jason has pretty much been low key, building shark racing engines with mark (pretty sure) husen out of sedro wooley washington.
i didn't see much of him last year either. the dirt cup at skagit is next thursday so he is probly shaking off the rust.
hammer down...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..

According to Shane's twitter page he said he would take it if offered, so I think he was interested. But this morning he said that he was not given the ride.

Solwold has hardly raced. A waste of time reading your post.

That is the point of my post, the guy does not deserve the ride.

Jason will do fine after he gets settled in. He did well on the outlaw tour, and he is good with the ASCS. give him a chance.

I think there are a number of guys that would do fine in this car if they had the chance to "settle in". Lucas even did fine in the car. But the problem at hand is that they want wins right off the bat.
Real race cars don't have fenders...

The races he has run this year he's been fast right out of the box. I can't wait till' he proves you guys wrong. These people aren't stupid, if they didn't think he was capable of wheeling that thing they never would have hired him. Go get em' Jason !!

Solwold has a lot of natural talent. I remember when he first came to the midwest around 2003-2004 in the blue #18... saw him run at Husets one night, and he came from 16th to 2nd, or something like that... could've been his first or second time there. He had some good runs in the R19... evolved into a very good qualifier. Maybe most impressive was in 2009 when Jim Nace put him in his 6 car to run the Nationals. He not only made the A, but was in the now defunct A-Scramble (top 10 in overall pts after the qualifying nights). If he's on the same page as the owner/crew with the 82 (which might be over half the battle?), he'll be fine.
