NCRA/MARS Late Models Ready for Salina High Banks Speedway!
FOR IMMEIDATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – June 9, 2013 - The National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products late model division will kick back into action this coming Saturday night as the tour will make their first appearance in ten years at the Salina High Banks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma in a combined event with the MARS DIRTCar series.
With current point leader Ryan Gustin having prior commitments, Corey Zeitner (second in the current point standings) will lead the tour on to the high banks. G&G Dozer rookie of the year contenders Chance Bishop, Jeremy Petty and Jacob McGee will continue their battle for the $1000 rookie of the year honors. Other drivers expected to be on hand include; Chase Junghans, Gary Gorby, Matt Johnson, Zac Simmons, Chris Kratzer and Jimmy Seagraves. The tours last visit came back in 2003 when former two-time series champion Al Purkey took the victory.
It was just a little over two years ago that Brad Looney took the thrilling victory in the MARS DIRTCar series last appearance at the track. Jesse Stovall comes into the night with a slim nine point lead over Tony Jackson, Jr. Terry Phillips, Justin Asplin, Dustin Walker, Shawn Knuckles, Leroy Johnson, Mark Dotson, Brian Shirley, Justin Wells and Brandon Morton are just a few of the over thirty drivers from a six state area expected to be competing.

Gates will open at 5:00 PM with a scheduled start time slated for 7:00 PM.

Since 1971 the NCRA has sanctioned dirt track races across the Great Plains with the series currently sanctioning five other divisions. They include modifieds, southern sport modifieds, late models, 360 sprint cars, 305 sprint cars and new mod lites. The 2013 season for the National Championship Racing Association is the 43rd anniversary season with races scheduled at sixteen different race tracks across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri.
