the video of the second crash doesn't show much but cars arz over tea kettle. so maybe some local can give me the low-down here. is this a fued that is continual, balls are too big for the pants or what? slide jobs gone wrong? fill me in pleze and thanks http://blog.pennlive.com/patriotnewssports/2013/05/dietrich_siegel_incident_at_li.html#incart_flyout_sports.
Ascot was the greatest of all time..

Just hard racing. Dietrich got into Siegel a few times, but they were racing for the lead and had heated battle all race long. Siegel jumped the cushin bicycled ahead of Dietrich and Dietrich was charging hard, and was already comitted to his line and got into Sielgel a 4th time. On the first yellow lap Siegel show Danny he was #1 and threw his stearing wheel into Dietrichs Wing Sideboard. Nothing more nothing less. Don't know if anything happened in the pits.

Definitely the race of the year to date...I like Jimmy Siggles 24 hour rule and I might have to adopt that for myself...
Opinions may vary...

Siegel drove a hell of a race. Would have been a great finish if he could have kept the car together. Another bad break for JJ Grasso as he was running 3rd and packed the right rear. He would have been in the mix for the win for sure. Best race I've seen in a long, long time and the video highlights mainly due to the camera angle and length doesn't do justice to how to good of a race it was.

Our throttle spring broke on lap 2, he was working the pedal up and down and couldn't drive in as hard as he wanted. Finally hit the cushion too hard and packed the RR and broke the bleeder line off. Think we were gonna be right there at the end. Gotta love Lincoln!!

Most improved? Based on what? His stint in the penalty box Pinter 92? URC breeds great drivers to Central PA (C. Michael, Sammons, Stillwaggon) and we are lucky to have them. Grasso is the best the URC has seen in a while and it was only a matter of time before he became a force with us. We're lucky to have him and lucky that the Eldreth 25 is open to running 410's. Should be handicapped up front after last week's misfortune. I'm feeling a win.

There is a very good recap of this race with excellent interviews with said drivers somewhere else in this forum, worth the read. If you get a chance, read it to a Posse fan, there are big words and no pictures.....

He's not quite at the talent of the leader of the NJ drivers. He's still gotta catch the handicapping master, that black 0. What's his name again? Wick Rafferty? For heaven's sake, I can't remember what you call him...

Got it Speaking of URC, glad to see Curt Michael back on the track at the Grove tonight in the 5G. Delayed because his wife was diagnosed with cancer. Great guy. Wish nothing but the best on him and his wife.

DH, ditto on the Curt Michael deal. I had some real good laughs quite a few years ago at Knoxville with him and his crew, mostly about the Posse vs. MSPN stuff. Very good racer and a great guy, his brother made the top 10 at the Nationals (or close to it) in back to back years, the top Posse driver there at the time, way impressive.....

Perhaps you could read it to me as I'm too busy actually attending these events to read about it...
