Was wondering if there are any sprint car or midget racing this Sunday night in Minnesota or maybe western Wisconsin? Going Friday and Saturday nights and have Monday off so trying for the trifecta!
Thanks,
David.

I'm not aware of any in the eastern MN/western WI area on Sunday night May 26. I believe the closest would be a good distance away out at the Husets Speedway in Brandon, SD. The UMSS races at St. Croix Valley Raceway on Friday and at the Rice Lake Speedway on Saturday with BOTH divisions in action at each track this weekend. The following weekend May 31-June 2 is a big IRA Tour in the area with appearances by the popular 410 sprint car series at the St. Croix Valley Raceway on May 31, the Cedar Lake Speedway on June 1 for the Triple Crown, and at the Eagle Valley Speedway on June 2. That is also going to be a great weekend in the area to watch sprint car racing. The UMSS Traditional non-winged sprints will also race at SCVR on May 31. The IRA is expecting some non-regular cars to travel in for this weekend per Steve Sinclair from the IRA. I visited with Steve about that weekend when I was down at Beaver Dam Raceway on April 27. GRP Motorsports will be providing a $150 IRA bonus at each of the three racing events for IRA member cars.

I thought IRA was in Francis Creek on the 26th. Haven't checked the schedule lately. Suggest you check that.

Any Sunday race you take in will require four or five hours of travel. Husets has a two-day show Sunday and Monday. Sun Prairie runs Midgets Sunday night. Both are mostly Freeway from the Twin Cities. 141 Raceway where the IRA is running is far eastern Wisconsin and quite a distance from I94 so I would think that would be a long drive from our area. Some of the tracks they run are easier to get to on a Sunday.
Redwood didn't come up but I think they still run some Sprints. It's not the biggest show as far as Sprints go, maybe a dozen or so cars. That's not the greatest drive from the Metro either, mostly two lane I believe but it has never fit my schedule so I have never checked it out.
I think Husets is going to be the best show available but you're looking at a pretty good drive from the Metro.
