What ever happened to the Night Before the 500 at Indy Raceway Park (IRP)? I always watched that race on ESPN back in the day, and went to IRP the year I went to the 500.

Im going to the night before the 500 Saturday night. Im, also going to the Hooser 100 on Thursday night. Friday going to Carb Day and after that I was planing on seeing another race. Just needing to know which track to see the best sprint car racing around Indy.

It's a toss up between Gas City and Bloomington. I will most likely be at Gas City since I shot at Bton last Friday. Saturday? Hey, what about the Little 500? That is where I will be. . . .

Average car counts at either track is 25 or better, from what I remember the winners share at both tracks is between 1,200 to 1,500 unless it is a MSCS or KISS race which usually pay more. Personally I would go to Bloomington instead of Gas City, better track conditions, scenic race track and usually a better show. I'm sure you'd have a good time regardless of which track you decide to go to.

For Saturday night, I would skip the IRP midget race and see the Little 500. The IRP race may get cancelled anyway just like they did this weekend with Silver Crown.
All the big USAC names will be at Anderson this year including Clauson, East, Darland, Coons Jr and about 40 more. There are 3 drivers in the field that have ran the Indy 500; Chet Fillip, Jimmy Kite and Bryan Clauson and a few more than run Indy Lights.
33 sprint cars, starting 3 abreast in 11 rows, for 500 laps, on a tight, high banked 1/4 mile..... you have never seen anything like this event! Once you see this event for the 1st time, your are hooked for life.
Entry list on below link, plus add these drivers; J. Wilson, JJ Helberg, T. DeCaire, B. Wease, J. McCune, T. Patterson, B. Clauson
