It would appear that Fast Freddie has put all the drama surrounding the 51 behind him now...
Opinions may vary...

Glad to see that 51 finish behind the 20s twice. You know Fred wanted to beat it too.

I like Fast Freddie but he kinda seems like a crybaby about the whole 51 team deal. Seems quite simple to me. He raced for them with the best equipment money can buy for years with minimal results. Was the CJB entitled to Freddie for life? Did they have some form of entitlement to him? Should they have went through every crew chief in the nation before they found one that would click with him?
The team seems to be doing much better without him.

Watching the video highlights on the Pa. Posse site from the feature on Friday and it was cool to see the fans reaction when he drove around the 51.

Yep...Rahmer transforms himself into a more popular driver 6 nights a year at the Grove...and he sure has put the 51 behind him.
Hodnett tried to block but slipped out of the preferred line...Donnie and crew had the set up nailed to lead the 300 feet that counted most!
Hip Hip...WHOO SCHATZIE!
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD

Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Freddie isn't crying over spilled milk. It's the fans.

Exactly. Fred agreed it was time for a split, for whatever reason it just wasn't working....I think any shots Fred takes are at the people (99% fans) who said he was washed up. Clearly a little left in the tank, and as for his run in the 51? I think he did accomplish a few things along the way: Lincoln and Williams Grove Track Championships, breaking 150 wins at Lincoln, multiple Outlaw wins - 1 from 24th, All-Star wins, 3 Keystone Cup titles, 3 PA Speedweek Championships, Multiple overall PA titles, 41 overall A-main wins....

Latsh, don't spoil the naysayers with the facts, haters are gonna be haters no matter the driver, series or anything else. Fred is now what he has been for many years, a WINNER. I'll tell ya' right now, he is more appreciated and maybe even more liked outside of PA than inside Posse Territory and the Outlaw guys have been amongst his biggest fans for many years now, this I know from first hand knowledge. Since he broke through nationally back in the Slick-50 series Fred has been on the radar of the knowledgable sprint car, he was very impressive back then and has continued his winning ways for almost the 20 years since, good on him!

See, we can agree
Fred is to PA what Steve is to the WoO. The face of each, the best, and for 20-30 years - the last 2 you want lining up behind you on a restart. I wish I could remember which driver it was at Lincoln that said, "I was coming down the backstretch and saw the 51 flash into 2nd and immediately missed my next 3-4 corners". Whoever it was held him off, but that's the respect the greats command.
