Donnellson, IA (Monday, May 13, 2013) – The 5th Annual Brian Hetrick Memorial featuring the Sebastian Sandblasting & Powder Coating 305 Sprints, which was rained out back on Friday, April 12th, is set invade the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA this Friday, May 17th. A top prize of $1,000 is up for grabs to the winner of the 305 Sprint feature, which is being presented by Randall’s Performance of Gladstone, IL and Holtkamp’s Trailer Repair of West Burlington, IA.
This event was started back in 2009 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, IA and was moved to the Lee County Speedway for the first time in 2011. The Brian Hetrick Memorial began back in 2009 to honor the 2008 305 Sprint 34 Raceway Track Champion who lost his life in a fatal motorcycle accident in mid August of 2008. A big prize of $1,000 has been posted for the winner of the 305 Sprint feature, along with a dash for cash. There is no track registration fee or entry fee for the 305 Sprints.
Past winners of the Brian Hetrick Memorial include Kevin Hetrick in 2009, Bobby Mincer in 2010, Wayne Johnson in 2011, and the defending champion Justin Parrish. Who will be standing in victory lane this Friday? We invite you to come an find out for yourself!
Also in action on the night, which is being sponsored by Darkside Tint and Graphix and Driftwood 13 Bar both of Keokuk, IA, will be the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Donnellson Tire IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA SportMods, Coor’s Light IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts.
Gates will open at 5:30 pm, with hot laps at 7:00 pm, and racing set for 7:30 pm. Grandstand admission will be adults $10, seniors $9, students 7-17 $5, and kids 6 & under FREE! Pit passes will be $25, ages 7-13 $15, and ages 6 & under $10.
