The ASCS Nationals
Sprints visit I-80 on May 23

The
fastest 360 Sprint Cars in the country will be making their annual
visit to I-80 Speedway on Thursday, May 23. The ASCS National Sprint
Cars Series presented by MAVTV will be joined by the Speedway Motors
ASCS Midwest Region Sprint Car Series and the CarpetLand Nebraska 360
Sprint Car Series. The event will pay $3,000 to win and $400 to
start.

The
Rajin Cajun” Jason Johnson is once again atop the ASCS National
point standing. The three-time and defending series champion is
followed in the ASCS National point standing by Johnny Herrera, Brad
Loyet, Seth Bergman and Tony Bruce, Jr. Other national drivers
expected to be in attendance are; Logan Forler, Jeff Swindell, Dustin
Morgan, Cole Wood and Shawn Petersen.

After
two races at I-80 Speedway in early April at the Spring Meltdown,
Jack Dover sets atop the ASCS Midwest point standings, followed by
Lucas Wolfe, Gregg Bakker, Danny Lasoski and Jake Martens. Dover and
Bakker picked up wins at the Meltdown. Dover is also the Nebraska 360
Sprint Car point leader picking up the series first ever feature win
at the Butler County Speedway. Danny Lasoski won last year's ASCS
National Event at I-80 Speedway.

In
addition, three NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly racing
classes will be racing. Those include; Super Late Models, Ty's
Outdoor B Mods and ARR Towing & Recovery Hornets. Pit Gates open
at 4:00 pm, Grandstands at 5:30 pm, with Racing at 7:15 pm.
Grandstand Admission is $22 for Adults, $5 for Juniors (6-12) with 5
