We are riding bikes up to Eldora tonite for the WoO. He is a gearhead but has never been to a sprint car show. It will be fun.

Wonder how much the die hard fans could help the sport if they were willing to buy a noobie his or her first ticket to the races.
I'd do it in a heart beat!

absolutely, to guain a fan that can relate to our passion about the sport we love is a MUST, I occasionaly try to attend ball games ect, but, it never captures my interest as much as sprint racing, to understand a fellow fans passion about his or her sport is how new fans are achieved. Personally the pre game in our case(pre race ) parking lot gettogethers, Tailgating is where the casual fan can get the lowdown on whats happening and what to expect, the hype builds and hopefully the night will serv a appetite to be satisfied, take a newbee drop the tailgate open the cooler , make a few new friends, rib the one that root for the other drivers colors and share the excitement of racenight!

Take them a extra pair of safety glasses . Just in case.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Are you shitting me???? When I had a job, from 1998 thru 2008 I had 4 tickets for the knight before, and the Kings Royal, in turn 4, reserved tickets. I took different people all the time, free tickets, but none of them have been back on their own. They all loved it, but apparently it wasn't enough. It looks like I will be going up later today by myself.............

Id say you may have taken the wrong person. For example somebody could take me toa Reds baseball game and Im NOT going back, hell they would be lucky to get me to go in the first place, that is the most boring stuff I have e

I always try to take people who have never been to a race let alone a sprint car race. I laugh at the ones who say who wants to watch cars go in a circle or why would you drive 500 miles to watch a race thats 15 miles or less long. I do it because I am a true race fan. My father raced when I was a kid and when I was 7 he started lettiing me race go karts and moved to a midget.Any spare money I have goes to buying t shirts hats or other items drivers have for sale just to do my part helping them stay on the road. My buddy and I have collected so many Outlaw items we started a museum. My brother in law once asked why do you collect broken race car parts. My answer was if you have to ask you will never understand. Each year I notice there are fewer and fewer young fans at the races which is not a good thing. So if you get a chance to take someone to there first race do it there can never be to many supporters of local or national racing
