Topic: Jacksonville Raceway has a new name (Morgan County Speedway)

Jacksonville Raceway, is now called Morgan County Speedway, and they have a website, www.morgancountyspeedway.com. Looks like only a few Sprint shows next year though, as they are now running U.M.P. Late Models weekly.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why the folks at Jville decided to rebrand the racetrack? I certainly have mine

maybe because the last promoter was such a ass they didnt want anyone ot think it was the same place

I could care less, why they remamed it, as long as there is racing there every friday night.

I could care less, why they remamed it, as long as there is racing there every friday night.

I agree, it is just nice to see some new blood with new ideas taking over. I,m a sprint and late model fan and I know alot of the people are upset they are dropping sprints weekly. Are you a driver or fan at j,ville? We race the #22 blue camaro street stock and the #11 blue modified. Look us up.

I heard that Butch Wood, is still going to help out with track preparation, not sure if that is true, i just heard it while talking with one of the sprint car owners.
