Got a text from the track saying they are still on as of now and will try to make the call to race or not by noon Saturday.

I doubt it (rained over 3" yesterday, still raining at 11:30 AM local on Thursday and forecast is for rain on Friday possibly as well). I'd say there is a 10% chance at best that they race.
No sun forecast Friday, Saturday or Sunday, highs in the low 50's with overnight low Friday of 29. Even if it stops raining now, hard to dry anything out if the sun won't come out.

The NWS is forecasting some sun on Friday/Saturday... not sure if they're right or not! If there is some sun/wind on Friday, they might be able to work on the track/infield and get it ready to race. I'm never overly optimistic on April races... but who knows.
Friday A 10 percent chance of snow before 7am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 45. Windy, with a west northwest wind 21 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.
Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 28. Blustery, with a northwest wind 13 to 18 mph becoming light north after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph.
Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 53. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 9 to 14 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.
Saturday Night A 20 percent chance of rain after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.

with the hard wind today helping dry out the infield, I'll up my prediction to 25% chance they'll race - reported on KNIA/KRLS this morning that if the decide to cancel that Race for your School Night will now be April 27th (so plans are in place for cancellation already).

Any word yet? I hope they get it in. I have been jelious of the Cali and Pa fans who have seen a good amount of racing already.

I think they should wait til first thing tomm to make the call in this case. The wind is howling today... gusting to mid 30 mph... supposed to keep it up all day, and low humidity. If they can't get the infield packed in tomm morning after all this wind... fine, call it. But it's also supposed to be 55 and sunny tomm... which is the equivalent of 85, as cold & wet as this spring has been!!
