EXTRA MONEY UP FOR GRABS IN THE "KING OF CALIFORNIA MINI SPRINT CHALLENGE!"

(Placentia, CA, April 12, 2013) When the cars hit the track for rounds two and three of the "King of California Mini Sprint Challenge" at the Bakersfield Speedway on April 20^th and May 11^th, they will have some extra incentives to go fast in both qualifying and in the main events.

The driver who passes the most cars in each of the main events at "The West's Fastest 1/3 of a Mile High Banked Clay Oval" will win the "White Nuckl USA Hard Charger Award." That award will be worth $100.00 both nights.

In addition to the generous award from White Nuckl USA, five different companies are putting up $100.00 each to award the fastest qualifier from the two races. All of the qualifying laps from the April 20^th and May 11^th events will be eligible for the award. The fastest of all of those laps will take home the $500.00. The following companies put up the money for this special qualifying reward:

To add intrigue to the competition, on April 20^th, the first of the two races, which are both sanctioned by the California Lightning Sprint Car Series, will be run without wings. It will be one of only two times the CLS will run without wings in 2013. They will have the wings back on for the second race on May 11^th.

Before heading to Bakersfield next weekend, the CLS will be in action this Saturday, April 13^th, on its home track, Perris Auto Speedway, in the "SoCal Showdown" along with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars.

For 2013, cars in the CLS will be carrying transponders and they will qualify at all events. The
driver with the most fast qualifying times at the end of the season will win the "Cold Fire West Qualifying Championship" and will pocket an extra $500.00. Another new sponsor to the
series this season is Extreme Muffler. They will sponsor the "Extreme Muffler Heat Race Championship" and the driver with the most heat race wins will collect a $500.00 check.
