1st Let me start of by saying for you all that didnt get to watch you missed some exciting races.

2nd let me say thanks stockton 99 and whoever for never once mentioning a curfew, i love south stocktom anyways lol.

the racing was excellent, there were approx. 15000 people there, and that track was pretty fast oh my gosh i cant believe the action in turns 1 and 2. it caught wayne johnson , it caught jason sides and oh by way the netto kid was no where around. lol it caught jac the wild child who by the way kept up with his name wild, by his flip off the track some where with the jack rabbits. And a few more

All in all what a great night, a little cold, thats ok though kept the track from drying in all the wind out there. So now i go to i guess the cali guys are that good, new big track, tk and kyle race it out

especially kyle, i saw him shoot around smoke in his heat race and never look back, anyways im not going to say to much more about it we already new that story all ready, Cali possey is bad ass,

oops posey is all ready taken sorry..LOL.. My oppionion get there to see some racing , its now a must see oh yah, i took a ton of pics i will post some in a few see you all later

I've been around for a few new track openings and this was the best racing surface I've ever witnessed for a brand new track. I expected a midwest dust bowl with all that wind but it was truly a Cali style hook'em up track. Hats off to the Nocetti Group, you've got my business! Being central to so many large population areas this tracks potential has me smiling from ear to ear!!

Be nice if this track or some other cali track could take over the gold cup, as Chico just isn't that great and the event has suffered because of it.

I had a great time. Yeah the high winds from the top of the stands sucked a little, but once the sprintcars hit the track the night was awesome.

The local kids all looked good against the outlaws. Got to give Carson Mecedo props for making the dash for the first time. And @miniwheats44 on a great qualifying lap to set him self up for the dash. I bet Rico was having fun racing Kinser and Smoke in the top ten.

The TK/Larson battles never get old. Now the rest of the world got to see what we have been hiding for the past few years out in California.

Great to See Larson win over the Outlaws. He's a good kid. Got to talk with him at the Grove last October when the Outlaws were there. If I remember right he was driving the Tom Buch #13 car.

I have read comments stockton had a great race,i have talked to people that went and are not on hoseheads, what i was told racetrack to far away from stands, paid for reserve seat then had to pay 10 dollar parking fee and had to park far away from track, took nearly 2 hours from off ramp to get car parked in lot, food was subpar, too many people in the pits, some spectators got inthe way of race teams, the whole show took to long to run, neary all general addmisson seats wernt worth sitting an could not see most of the racing,i did not go,but i would like to hear more opinions please, what was good and bad,i would like more info before i attend kws event this year.

Hopefully people like BIGROB, ricc49 and Ca Sprintcar Fan who actually attended will give us input.

I think that would be more accurate than info being relayed by people not posting on this site.

If the $10 to park is true...that would make me think twice about supporting this track. That is just gouging the fan(s) of racing.

Everything looked good from the comfort of my friend's appartment on DirtVision but had I driven all the way down there and found out that I had to pay $10 to park the car would have been pointed back North before I would have paid to park. IF I ever go to this place I will ask about the parking before I leave and if I have to pay anything for parking I will save myself the trip.

It was ten bucks to park, but its not the first track to make us pay to park. Ill pay the $10 all day to not have my car on the streets of Stockton. lol. I got the good deal. I paid for parking my carpoolers paid for gas.

Is that it,what about the track could u see the racing was it too far away the stands,i guess i would have paid 10 bucks to keep my car off the stockton streets.

I dont see an issue with the track being to far from the stands. If i recall, Elma Wa track was/is set up similar to Stockton. People need to go to the track and make their own opinions. The track looks fast and produced some good racing, and there was no dust.

I went with some friends. Yep, paid 10 bucks to park. That didn't really bother me. We left right after work and got there about 4pm or so. Probably a good thing based how much time it took for others to get in who arrived later from what I heard. We wandered around the car show beforehand and chatted with a few folks we knew.

Was the track to far from the stands? Maybe, although I didn't mind it - felt like I had an unobstructed view of everything without having to stand up (We sat up in the grandstands). But I will say that the general admission / standing room only area in the middle was a bit disorganized looking from my vantage point. And they announced a few times that some of the standing folks had to move due to blocking the views from those who were seated behind.

The things that bothered me were how long it took to run the show. It was my first Outlaw show, so maybe they do take longer than the average sprint car show in general, but boy was it rough getting home by 2:15 am. We did walk the pits though to let the parking lot clear out some first. Also, I don't think that the vintage hardtops were the best choice for the support race. Nobody was too excited to see them run as the night dragged on.

Overall - was it perfect? Nope - but for me, the fun I had outweighed any of the negatives that I personally experienced. Other folks may feel differently, of course. Here's hoping that they'll take what can be learned from this race and make improvements going forward.

Looks similar to the 3/8 built inside the old 1/2 mile at Spencer, IA... also similar to the 3/8 in Attica, OH, which was also built inside a larger track (horse track, I believe?). Like sports stadiums, some tracks have the stands built closer to the action than others. With sprint car racing (or racing in general), being a little further from the track probably isn't a bad thing!

All in all its was pretty good for there first show , probably wasnt expecting so many crashes and they needed practice after about the sixth one they were pretty fast lol.. If you paid for pits parking was free.. From what i heard fair grounds controlled all the parking and got to keep all of the money .. nocetti group kept all the money from everything else.. Have my tickets for merced hope there is a good car count,, cant believe chico is starting there season for 410s that night probably dont matter though see you all there

Too bad Merced wasn't Saturday. All the Outlaws could have raced twice this weekend. Are they allowed to run a 360 and race at Antioch Saturday? I guess there is no outlaw race on Saturday because that was the day they raced at Baylands and San Jose.

Stands are definitely too far from the track but atleast its very safe as far as car parts or dirt clods hitting the fans. 10 dollar parking is crap. show not getting over until past midnight was crap. Surely was done to sell maximum amounts of food and drink. but the track itself was great for racing. except turn 1 was causing some to flip violently.
