Multiple Sponsors Offer Support To OCRS

– As the Oil Capital Racing Series nears the start of its 12th season
of sprint car competition at the Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker Oklahoma
on March 30th, OCRS officials, in conjunction with supporting sponsors,
have produced a separate point fund for the previously announced
“non-wing” events that dot the 27 race schedule.

The
points awarded for the non-wing events will be the same points as
earned on any race night on the 2013 schedule. OCRS will tally the
points and the highest five drivers in the non-wing rankings will earn a
share of the non-wing point fund. The highest point collector will
pocket $1,000!
The current schedule has three posted
non-wing dates. If additional non-wing dates are booked and conducted in
2013, they will also account for the point fund awards. Drivers MUST
display any decals provided by the participating sponsors on their cars
to earn the cash awards being offered. Since there is a possibility of
additional sponsors joining in this program after this announcement, the
amount paid to positions 2-5 will be determined after the final “pot”
has been tabulated, which currently stands at $2500! The dates and
tracks currently holding OCRS non-wing events are:
March 30, 2013 - Brill Motor Speedway / Meeker, Oklahoma (OCRS season opener)
June 7, 2013 - Mid-America Speedway / South Coffeyville, Oklahoma
July 6, 2013 - Caney Valley Speedway / Caney, Kansas
