32 410 WoO & KWS winged sprint cars

Fast Time: Pittman, :12.974 (track record is :12.651).

Heat One: Haud, Wolfe, Pittman, Croft

Heat Two: Sides, Schatz, Darrah, Hirst

Heat Three: T. Kaeding, Johnson, Swindell, Netto

Heat Four: Allard, Gravel in Bill Rose's #6, P. McMahan,
Saldana

B Main: Eliason in the final lap over Sides, Madsen, Macedo (only xfers)

A Main: Tim Kaeding, Darrah, Haud, Gravel, Wolfe.

Steve Kinser went over during qualifying and in the main. Schatz led about half way, then lost control in the very testy turn 1-2 setup tonight, giving way to TK. Eliason flipped and burned for quite a while but seemed to be okay once he was out of the car.

19 360 non-winged USAC WC 360 sprint cars

Pill draw

Heat One: Bud Kaeding, Danny Faria, Austin Liggett, Sibley, Araki

Heat Two: Marcus Niemela, Rusty Kirkbride, Rusty Carlile, Chris Ennis, Jim Richardson

Heat Three: Rich VanderWeerd, Jace VanderWeerd, Ryan Bernal, yellow #4, Jonathan Logan

Dash: Bud Kaeding, Marcus Niemela, Ryan Bernal, Rich VanderWeerd, Jace VanderWeerd, Danny Faria, Rusty Kirkbride, Rusty Carlile.

Feature (15 laps due to time & the fact that WoO had rented the track and ran everyting tonight): Bernal, Neimela (who led most of the way), Bud Kaeding, Faria, J. VanderWeerd, L. Hirst (SP?) in #179, Kirkbride, Hawkins, Carlile.

I'll give you real TK stats. Tim has 4 starts this season with the WoO. In those 4 starts he has 4 heat wins, 4 top 5's and 2 wins. I'd say The TK Express is running on Doc Brown's power logs.

Hey at least we don't claim drivers that aren't from CA!

It's actually Outlaws 0 CA 2- TK won at Las Vegas also!

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Vegas is not a west coast track.

Ok, if you want to get technical...

Ok then WoO 0 CA 1

Luckily there are 8 more CA races to go, not including the 3 at the end of the season!

Maybe so. I was trying to get notes down at the end when the leaders were working thru the back markers. Tim had been leading by quite a distance, then suddenly was behind Darrah & Haud, which I guess he then passed (again?) at the end. I should not have assumed that he went all the way round, and it didn't occur to me until after I was driving back up the freeway that he might have fallen back and then re-passed those two cars. In any event, the entry is corrected.

WoO 0 California 1

When you have to get your elbows up and not tip toe around like most joints anymore, there is no one better. Love his post race quotes.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
