Play Day for Southern Oklahoma Speedway This Saturday!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma - March 5, 2013 - The first open practice session of the year for Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma is set to take place this coming Saturday afternoon, March 9th. This play day will prelude the much anticipated season opener set to take place just one week later on Saturday night, March 16th.
Once entering the facility, race fans will once again see improvements made to the John and Nicky Webb owned track with new bathrooms being the most notable on the grandstand side.
Gates will open this Saturday at noon with play day set from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Cost is $20 per car.
It looks to be another successful season for Southern Oklahoma Speedway has driver pre-registration for car numbers have reached over 100. The tracks weekly Saturday night program will consist of: modifieds, limited modifieds, late models, stock car and hobby stock.
The first special event for 2013 will take place on Saturday night; April 6th as the Tulsa based OCRS sprint cars will hit the track. Later that month, the 27th to be exact, the USMTS modifieds will make their first of two appearances of the season.
Southern Oklahoma Speedway is located at 22789 S. Hwy 77 in Ardmore. Take I-35 to exit 29, then east on Hwy 70 approximately 0.7 miles and then south on Hwy 77 approximately two miles.
